Mr. R Prakash testifies ...
|
R Prakash, a farmer and a resident of Ardesh Halli, expressed his ire at the factory owners whose factories have robbed them of their precious resources. "Factories like Gogo Exports have contaminated our soil, our water, even the air we breathe. They accumulate wealth, while we poor farmers suffer. Can we ever hope to aspire for a better, healthier life... till when will we have to endure this?"

' GOGO' MANAGEMENT REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE PROBLEM
The town of Dodballapur and adjoining villages, an hours drive from Bangalore, has been facing environmental problems, visibly so in their ground water. The contamination of the groundwater results from the illegal pipelines for effluents being bored deep into the ground. Of the Corporates at Dodballapur, "GOGO Exports", a company in the business of dye-making is credited with causing most of the damage. Drinking water near the GOGO factory for a radius of 4 kms or so has been rendered non consumable.
